The Pelham Library’s invited design-build competition was a design proposal completed using BIM, done in collaboration with Dineen Construction Corporation. The competition objective was to design a new library for the Town of Fenwick that incorporated the remains of an existing historic library building, formerly a fire hall.

Through the design of the library jh•architecture developed a narrative that respects the integrity of the heritage building while incorporating elements of contemporary design. The library addition contained many differently programmed spaces all on a small parcel of land in a rural setting with very strong municipal regulations. We were able to apply our knowledge of cost effective building strategies to design a building that we believe would be a great addition to the Town of Fenwick. jh•architecture finds solutions to interior space, urban planning and fiduciary problems in an integrated design process.
